Trial Director 6

How do I Make My Trial Presentation Better?

Every day, we are bombarded with advertising on television, on billboards, online. It doesn’t matter where you go or what you do, someone is trying to sell something through visual media.

Visual stimulation has become part of our every day lives. Juries are no different.

Juries are accustomed to this bombardment and expect information to come by way of visual media. Verbally asking questions and getting answers is simply not enough to keep a jury engaged anymore.

While hollywood-style effects – products of mountain sized budgets and months of work – are not feasible, there are tools that bridge the gap.

Why Use These Tools.

Attorneys and support staff involved in litigation are accustomed to the break-neck work pace and the ever-changing requirements that come along with trial preparation. What if there were a tool that could make your preparation more efficient and your presentation more powerful? Would you be interested?

If this tool saved you and your client time, money and a lot of anxiety, even in one trial, it would be extremely valuable.

If the software increased the credibility of your case and helped to persuade your audience, it would be worth its proverbial weight in gold, right?

You might be thinking to yourself, “Yeah, this all sounds great, but it’s going to cost an arm and a leg and be impossibly difficult to use. We hire consultants for this kind of thing.” You’re wrong.

Introducing the Trial Director 6 Training Course!

April Ferguson and Jason Wietholter at Opveon have created a complete training course so that you can learn how to use inData’s Trial Director software to prepare, manage and present your case at trial easily.

The course was originally developed and presented as a 1 day, in person training event. We crammed the vast features of Trial Director into a program that took people from zero knowledge to a well rounded understanding of the ins and outs of the software. After doing this training for a few years, we realized a few problems:

  • 1 day was not nearly enough time to thoroughly discuss all of the features.
  • The number of training days we could provide was limited by our other trial consulting work.
  • There was no easy way for clients to follow up to get support.
  • Individualized training was costly.

Our solution: recreate the course as a guided, online tutorial that could be digested by students over time, at their pace and provide them with an inexpensive, simple way to interact with other students as well as the consultants at Opveon to answer questions, share additional tips/tricks and keep current with updates in technology.

The core of the course will cover every aspect of Trial Director from creating a case and loading in exhibits to presenting multimedia or editing a deposition video for impeachment. Each part of the core course will be divided into easy-to-connect sections so that information overload does not become a problem.

Along the way, students will have access to our forums to discuss topics that are troublesome or share ideas on how something could work better. Opveon’s Trial Director Certified Trainers (April Ferguson and Jason Wietholter) will be monitoring the forums and adding their voice.

In addition, there will be tips, tricks and mini guides, as well as Question and Answer calls added for members only to keep everyone up to date on the happenings in trial presentation technology.

How Will it Benefit Me?

This course will take you from knowing absolutely nothing about Trial Director to a complete understanding of the program and its uses before and during trial. Trial preparation headaches and trial/error processes will be things of the past. We have it all laid out for you.

It won’t be overwhelming. We’ve broken the program down into bite-sized pieces that you can work on at your own pace. If you have a trial coming up and need to be put through boot camp to get up to speed now, just contact us and we’ll get in touch with you right away.

You don’t need to worry about being left out in the cold either as April and Jason will be there every step of the way in the forums and with Q&A calls/Webinars discussing changes in technology. Every month we’ll be adding something new to the resources available.

Flexibility is key and you pay for 100% value. You can work at your pace from any computer with an internet connection.
